Ruth L. Deboer

Ruth L. DeBoer, 100, a former resident of Catawba Island for 46 years, and a resident of Sandusky since 1993, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Parkvue Healthcare Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on October 18, 1916 in Bellevue, Ohio, the daughter of Minor and Lillian (Martin) Cook. On July 3, 1946 she married Tice DeBoer and he preceded her in death on April 23, 2001. Mrs. DeBoer graduated from Bellevue High School in 1934. She was a bookkeeper for Catawba Island Marina for many years and a part time employee for Clarence Streeter Accounting. She attended services at The Chapel, Sandusky Ohio and the WOW Group (Women of the word). She is survived by her cousins, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother Louis Cook. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Neidecker, LeVeck, & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton from 10am until funeral services at 11am, with Pastor Dave Brown officiating.
