Ruth Arleen Mcgee

Ruth Arleen McGee, 73, of Sandusky and formerly of Port Clinton, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at The Cleveland Clinic. She was born July 23, 1943 in Dover, TN the daughter of Gilbert and Juanita (Williams) Allyn. She married James McGee on September 27, 1985 and he survives. Mrs. McGee was a LPN at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor for over 20 years. She also worked at Edgewood Manor Care Center, Port Clinton. Arleen loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids. She was a voracious reader, history buff, and loved watching Jeopardy every evening. Surviving are her husband: James McGee; son: Bryan Albertson of Port Clinton; daughter: Kelly (Russell Richardson) Albertson of Charlotte, NC; step-son: Kirby (Melanie) Overmeyer of Green Springs, OH; step-daughter: Nikki Johnson of Fremont, OH; grandchildren: Geoffrey Albertson, Ashley Albertson, Ryan Albertson; step-grandchildren: Bryce Dukeshire, Ericka Dukeshire, Anthony Johnson, Brocc Johnson, Aubrey Overmeyer, Carly Overmeyer, Alexis (John) Custer, Marah Overmeyer, Christian Overmeyer; great-grandchild: Keegan Howell; step-great-grandchild: Weston Custer; sister: Deborah Cornell of Lilydale, MN; brother: Gilbert Scott Allyn of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law: Patricia Albertson; step-daughter: Melissa Dukeshire and brother-in-law: Rick Cornell. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00pm. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
