Ruth Ann "Ruthie" Caputo

Ruth Ann "Ruthie" Caputo, 71, of Port Clinton, OH and Fort Myers, FL passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Ruthie was born November 16, 1946 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Willard and Rita (Mayle) Hershey who both preceded her in death. On April 20, 1996 she married John Caputo and he survives. Ruthie was a 1964 graduate of Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic High School. She graduated from Virginia Farrell School of Cosmetology, Detroit, MI in 1965. She started her career at Kollmyers Beauty Salon in Fremont, then to Port Clinton where she worked at her sisters salon, Hair Quarters then returned to Fremont working at Friendship Four Salon to be closer to home and her children. Ruthie embarked on her second career in 1988, and became a licensed real estate agent at Jack Bradley Realty Company, co-owned by her husband, where she was able to do what she loved most in life, being and working with people. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton and St. Cecilias Catholic Community in Fort Myers, the Firelands Board of Realtors and the Port Clinton Yacht Club. Those left to cherish her memory are husband: John Caputo; children: Matt (Rachell) Paeth, Mark (Cheryl) Paeth, Mike (Beth) Paeth; step-children: Jennifer (Lee) Meinke, Christopher (Adele) Caputo; grandchildren: Matthew, Hannah, Taylor, Karly, Kendra, Alayna, Sam and Brennen Paeth; step-grandchildren: Brandon and Erin Smith and Matthew and Taylor Caputo brothers: Ken (Ann) Hershey, Jack (Cathy) Hershey; sister: Debbie (Steve, deceased) Krynock; along with nephew Jack Hershey and niece Trisha (Hershey) Watley. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father John Missler 10:00 am Monday, October 8, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH followed by interment in Catawba Island Cemetery.
