Ruth A. Slobodzian

Ruth A. Slobodzian, 83, of Port Clinton, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 when she was reunited with the love of her life, Bob. She was born Feb. 21, 1935 in Toledo, OH the daughter of Charles and Hulda (Zingg) Uhrman. She married Robert M. Slobodzian on July 13, 1963 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2017. Mrs. Slobodzian was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton where she was active in the Sarah Circle. She was also a member of the Port Clinton Yacht Club and volunteered at many local places. She loved being a mom and grandma and enjoyed wintering with her husband Bob, in Ft. Myers for over 25 years. Surviving are her daughters: Jane (Chad) Miller of St. Clair, MI, Sandy (Jeff) Zipes of Centerville, OH; grandchildren: Ben Miller, Christian Miller, Luke Miller, Sarah Zipes, Laura Zipes; siblings: Gloria Pezzino of Temperance, MI and John (Shirley) Uhrman of Oregon, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert M. Slobodzian; brothers: Eugene Uhrman, Robert Uhrman and sister: Virginia Martines. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St. Port Clinton, OH 43452 where visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Pastor Dane Meuschke will be officiating. Following the services, a luncheon will be served at Peace Lutheran Church.
