Ruth A. Schmoldt

Ruth A. Schmoldt, 79, of Oak Harbor died Sunday, April 19, 2009 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born June 28, 1929 in Portsmouth, OH to Frederick and Mildred (Boles) Brooks. On June 13, 1959 she married Robert F. Schmoldt who preceded her in death on December 16, 2004. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Survivors include her daughters: Pauline (Jim) Goldstein of Oak Harbor, Gail (Tom) Evans of Van Buren, OH and Christina (Ronald) Mossbarger of Lillington, SC; brothers: Fred Brooks of Yuma, AZ, Ed Brooks of Sandusky, OH, and Elmer Brooks of Columbus, OH; sister Sarah Jane Meadows of Gibsonburg, OH; grandchildren: Kim, Ryan, Pam, Michelle, Mandy, Gina, Christy, and Betty; great-grandchildren: Leah, Angel, Rudy, Gracie, Payton, Gabrielle, Marty, Sammy Jo, Danny, Deanna, Christa, Courtney, Brian, Amanda, Kaylee, Chelsey, and Sky. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; brother Jess Brooks; granddaughters Arian Goldstein and Donna McMillan and great-granddaughter Debby McMillan. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8pm with the family present 2-5 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 27, 2009 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Tinker officiating. Interment will be in Elliston Cemetery.
