Ruth A. Arndt

Ruth A. (Redman) Arndt, 88, formerly of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at Countryside Continuing Care Center, Fremont, Ohio. She was born August 20, 1925 in Rocky Ridge, Ohio to the late John and Minnie (Lehman) Redman. She was a graduate of the former Salem-Oak Harbor High School. On June 6, 1947, she married Gaillard C. Arndt who preceded her in death on September 15, 1993. Ruth retired from Formetal Inc., Oak Harbor. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge. Survivors include her daughters: Renee D. Brown of Fremont, Ohio and Cindy S. Arndt of Milford, CT; grandsons: Nathan (Samantha) Brown, Jared (Kammie Buck) Brown and great-grandson Jake Thomas Brown, all of Fremont, OH; brother John Redman of Graytown, Ohio; sisters: June Behlmer of Graytown, Ohio and Evelyn Schlipf of Bryan, Texas; dear sister-in-law Doris Arndt of Graytown, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Art and Harold Wepler, sister Doris Justice, and son-in-law Thomas Brown. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be held at 11: 00 am Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, Ohio. Interment will be in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church Rocky Ridge.
