Russell M. Grant, Jr.

Russell M. Grant Jr., 54 of Oak Harbor, died suddenly at his home Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was born August 4, 1953 in Toledo, OH to Russell M. Grant Sr., and Eola (Frost) Grant- Cable. Mr. Grant was a Truck Driver for Praxair in Oregon, OH for which he had worked for 36 years. Russell loved the outdoors and being on the Lake. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating. He also used to train dogs (Labs) and became quite a polished dancer. Survivors include his sons: Russell M. (Sarah) Grant III of Woodville, OH and Brad M. (Jamie) Grant of Oak Harbor, OH; daughter Dawn M. (Alan) Atwater of Oak Harbor; mother Eola Cable of Oak Harbor; brothers: Ron Rhoton of Oak Harbor and Rick Grant of Toledo; step-brothers: Dennis Cable, Devin Cable of Woodville, Daren Cable of Elmore, OH; step-sisters: Debbie Hohlfelder of Woodville, Darla Cable of Pemberville, OH, DeAnn Satterlee of Mayfield Heights, OH, and Danette Iverson of Napoleon, OH; grandchildren: Kaila, Olivia, and Dylan Grant, and Mandie and Ashley Atwater; his former wife Connie Grant, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and sister Laurie Grant. Visitation will be Monday from 2-7pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will begin at 7pm Monday evening, March 10, 2008 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11am at Bethel Cemetery, North Baltimore, OH.
