Roy G. Masing, 77, of Port Clinton, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. He was born June 29, 1936 in Port Clinton the son of Harold A. and Marjorie J. (Wharton) Masing. He married DeAnna Kummer on March 3, 1956 and she survives. Mr. Masing was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a foreman for Uniroyal and previously worked for Matthews Boat Co. He enjoyed wood working and helping people. He was a member of the Port Clinton American Legion Post #113 and a Life Member of Stanley J. Jadwisiak Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7572, Marblehead, OH. Surviving are his wife: DeAnna; son: Tony H. (Lorie) Masing of Paducah, KY; daughter: Melissa (Scott) Ohlemacher of Metropolis, IL; grandchildren: Amanda (T.J.) Iwanski, Nicole Ohlemacher; great-grandchildren: Madison Iwanski, Vincent Iwanski; grandchildren: Brandon Roy Masing, Shannon De Masing; sister: Ruth Louise Masing of Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Kevin G. Masing; and brother: Harold E. Masing. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870. Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Port Clinton is handling the arrangements.
