Roy A. Winterfield

Roy A. Winterfield, 82 of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born June 21, 1934 in Hinkley, OH to the late Albert and Alice (Day) Winterfield. He was a 1952 graduate of Hinkley High School. On May 8, 1954 he married the former Gail B. Peth who preceded him in death December 26, 2008. Roy was a Military Heavy Equipment Supervisor for the 200th Red Horse Squadron, Port Clinton retiring December 1, 1989. He was enlisted in the United State Air Force. He was a member of the Port Clinton Moose Lodge #1610 and the Oak Harbor American Legion Post #114. Survivors include his daughter Karen Simpkins of Toledo, OH; sons: Bret (Kim) Winterfield of West Minster, CO, Roy Jr. (Sandy Mosley) Winterfield and Jeff (Gaye) Winterfield both of Oak Harbor; sister Marian Jurco of Columbia Station, OH; grandchildren: Nicole, Craig, Amanda, Valerie, Kelsie, Jeffrey, Marna, Clay and Tabatha; great- grandchildren: Mason, Emma, Danica, Kenliegh, Jordan, Jackson, Jonah, and Knox. He was also preceded in death by his brother Earl Winterfield. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Twp. Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
