Rose Mary Oglesbee

Rose Mary Oglesbee, 78, of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio, died Monday, March 26, 2007 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, Ohio. She was born August 12, 1928 in Port Clinton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carl G. and Esther M (Kapp) Kuhn. On Feb. 16, 1946, she married Wesley Oglesbee and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2004. Mrs. Oglesbee was a cashier at the former A&P Tea Co. in Port Clinton and later was the canteen manager for the Marblehead V.F.W. She was a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Marblehead, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7572, Eagles Lodge Aerie No. 2295, Port Clinton, and Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving is her son, Wesley R. “Bobby” (Sandy) Oglesbee of Lakeside-Marblehead; daughter, Mary V. “Vickie” (John) Kozak of Lakeside-Marblehead; grandchildren, Tony (Helen) Puckett, Angel Scott, Wesley M. Oglesbee, and Brian Oglesbee; step-grandchildren, Mike Chaffin, Brian Hild, and Jeff Hild; 10 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lois (Glenn) Feasel of Tiffin, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wesley; brother, Robert Kuhn, and sister, Margaret Rhone. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday. Pastor Chris Young of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate, and interment will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7572, St. John Lutheran Church, Lakeside Fire & EMS or Marblehead Fire & EMS.
