Ronald V. Lieske

Ronald V. Lieske, 90 of Port Clinton, OH died Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Magruder Hospital under Hospice Care surrounded by his family. He was born August 24, 1932 on the family farm in Oak Harbor, OH to the late Fred and Alma (Frank) Lieske. He attended Oak Harbor High School. On August 29, 1953 he married the former Marian M. Luebke and she survives. Ronald retired in 1994 from the Ohio Turnpike as a Structural Paint Foreman. He also worked at Matthews Boat Company and ran a milk route for 5 years. He served in the National Guard for 3 years. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor where he served on Church Council and taught Sunday School and an associate member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Avon Park, FL. He also served as a local Cub Scout Master.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years Marian of Port Clinton; children: Alan (Carolyn) Lieske of Perrysburg, OH, Susan K. (Jeffrey Harrison) Miller, of Perrysburg, Steven D. (Pamela) Lieske of Sebring, FL, Linda (Mark) Jividen of Graytown, OH, Lora (Ray) Garza of Port Clinton, OH; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers: Clark (Marilyn) Lieske of Oak Harbor, OH and Dale Lieske of Athens, GA; and sister Darlene Goldstein of Oak Harbor. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rhonda Hartlage and brother Wayne Lieske.

Services will be Saturday, August 12, 2023 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor where the family will receive friends beginning at 10am. A luncheon will follow the service in the Church Social Hall.  Burial will be held privately in Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or Carroll Township E.M.S.
