Ronald Ray Fastzkie

Ronald Ray Fastzkie, 83 formerly of Gypsum, OH passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at his home in Oak Harbor, OH. He was born October 24, 1936 in Gypsum, OH to the late Carl W. and Marie (Hansen) Fastzkie. He was a 1956 graduate of Port Clinton High School. Ronald served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany during WW II. On April 22, 1961 he married the former Shirley June (Laws) who preceded him in death August 12, 1995. Ron retired from Vitaplate in Port Clinton, OH following 20 years. He also served the City of Port Clinton as a Police Officer. He was the Port Clinton Representative for the Ottawa County Fair Board for 10 years, was very active in the Harbor Lights Senior Center in Oak Harbor and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan. Survivors include his daughters: Christal (Jim Biro) Booher of Marblehead, OH; Linda (Al) Semmler of Debary, FL., and Diana Potts of Fayetteville, NC.; Grandchildren: April (Joe) Pipoly, Josh Booher, Dan (Anna) Roche, Shane, Bryan, Heather Bevier, and Jessica Potts: Great- Grandchildren: Caitlyn and Anthony Pipoly, Taylor and Kiya Roche. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Carl Fastzkie Jr, and granddaughter Erin Kay Fastzkie. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449 with a private service to be held by the family following visitation. Burial will be in Christy Chapel Cemetery, Portage Township, OH at a later date as Ronalds wishes were to donate his body to Science.
