Roland "Joe" Josephson

Roland "Joe" Josephson, 101 of Oak Harbor, OH and formerly of Elgin, IL died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. He was born April 17, 1918 in Elgin, IL to the late Carl and Anna (Utberg) Josephson. He was a 1936 graduate of Elgin High School. On October 13, 1945 he married Doris Hurd, who preceded him in death on June 11, 1996. Joe was a Grocer and retired Postal Worker. He served in the United States Army- Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant. Survivors include his daughters: Trudy Lundblad of Hemet, CA, Rita (Charles) Yaeger-Heth of Beverly Hills, MI, and Rebecka (Russell) Tong of Oak Harbor, OH; grandsons: Steen and Erik Lundblad, John and David Yaeger, Collin and Joseph Tong; great- grandchildren: Landry, Braden, and Jackson Lundblad, Camrin and Lucas Yaeger. He was also preceded in death by a sister Doris V. Martin. A Memorial Service will begin at 11am Thursday, November 21, 2019 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor with the family to receive friends from 10am until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date in Ivy Lawn Cemetery, Ventura, CA. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Riverview Health Care Campus or St. Paul United Church of Christ.
