Roger L. Smith, 76, of Port Clinton passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home. He was born April 26, 1947 in Port Clinton, OH the son of Joseph A. and Lavonne F. (Payne) Smith. Roger worked for GE Superabrasives. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Roger loved riding his Harley.
Surviving are his sons: Jason (Amy Bauer) Smith of Fremont, Scott (Vikki) Smith of Johnstown, OH grandchildren: Hailey Smith, Catherine Smith, Gracie Smith, Andrew Denis; and girlfriend: Lois Couture. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law: Lori Smith and best friend Danny Skinner.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm and 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, Ohio.
