Robley E. Blackford, Jr.

Robley E. Blackford, Jr. (Rob), 51, of Marblehead, OH passed away November 9, 2021, at Flower Hospital, Toledo, OH. He was born August 26, 1970, in Port Clinton, OH the son of Robley E. and Theresa (Wierzba) Blackford, Sr. He graduated from Port Clinton High School and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bowling Green State University. He was a Senior Lab Tech. and Calibration Tech for Humanetics in Huron, OH and previously worked at Stylecrest in Fremont, OH. Rob was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton and attended Holy Assumption Orthodox Church with his wife in Marblehead, OH. Rob will forever be remembered for his stubbornness, his generosity, and his infectious smile and laugh. His greatest joy was his children and he loved watching his daughter, Mary, play softball and basketball. He enjoyed collecting magic cards and comic books. He was a huge Star Wars, BGSU Hockey, OSU Buckeyes Football and Cleveland Browns Fan. He volunteered for the Boy Scouts and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his wife: Tamara (Rentz) who he married on Feb. 21, 2004; son: Richard Cody Tyler (Jessica Naegele) Blackford of Bowling Green; daughters: Mary Elizabeth Blackford at home, Tiffany Brooke (Jacob Lattimore) Fillmore of Port Clinton; granddaughter: Brooke-Lynn Michelle Lattimore; parents: Robley E. and Theresa Blackford, Sr of Gypsum; sisters: Dawn (Dean) Fisher of Port Clinton, Heather (Andrew) Zisko of Maumee; aunts and uncles: June Blackford of Lancaster, OH, Jim & Linda Sickels of New Albany, OH, Judy Wierzba of Castalia; nephews: Joshua Fisher, Ashton Fisher, Jason Zisko, Nicholas Zisko, Luke Zisko; mother-in-law: Patricia Rentz of Watervliet, NY; brother-in-law: Michael William (Cristy) Rentz of Fort Worth, TX; nephew: Eron Michael Rentz and many cousins.. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Julian and Anna Wierzba, Robert and Vivian Blackford; father-in-law: William S. Rentz and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Holy Assumption Orthodox Cemetery.
