Roberto S. Herrera

Roberto S. Herrera, 89 of Elmore, OH died Monday, August 2, 2021 at Summa Health System, Akron, OH. He was born February 25, 1932 in Floresville, TX to the late Luis and Nestora (Silva) Herrera. On November 21, 1953 he married the former Dora Hernandez who preceded her in death on July 22, 2021. Roberto was a baker and worked for Tony’s/ Nickels Bakery in Fremont, OH for 37 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa. Roberto loved watching baseball and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He also enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, and hanging out with his friends at Tina’s Country Market. Survivors included his children Ruben A. (Pamela) Herrera of Avon Lake, OH and Cindy (Lemuel) Del Valle of Stow, OH; grandchildren: Jessica (Brian) Imbrogno, Jason Herrera, Jordan Herrera, Gabriela (Dustin) House, and Alex (Gretchen) Del Valle; great-grandchild Sebastian House; and sister Lydia Reyna. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Tony and Raphael Herrera, and sister Olivia Reyna. Visitation will be Friday from 2-7pm at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 W. St. Rte. 51, Elmore, OH 43416. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430. Private family interment services will be held in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH. Memorial Contributions may be given to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
