Robert W. Hetrick

Robert W. Hetrick, 89, of Port Clinton passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Elmwood Skilled Living in Fremont, OH. He was born June 8, 1933 and adopted and raised by Louis and Anna (Kinsel) Hetrick. He was a 1952 graduate of Port Clinton High School. He married Janet Mears on Sept. 1, 1956 and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2016. Robert served in the United States Army for two years and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. He worked for Matthews Boat Company in the Upholstery Shop, Standard Products, Philco and Gem Beach. He was a member of the Oliver H. Perry Masonic Lodge 341, Port Clinton for 65 years. Bob was a very loving and hard-working father for his family. He would do anything for anyone and always had a smile on his face.

Surviving are his daughter: LuAnn (Dennis) Hetrick-Wood of Port Clinton; son: Mark (Valerie) Hetrick of Piketon, OH; brother: Lee Hetrick of Napoleon. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Janet; birth Mother Emma Broach; grandchildren: Sarah Hetrick, Ryan Hetrick; siblings: John, Harold and Emma.

Visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:30 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where Oliver H. Perry Lodge 341 will have Masonic Prayer services at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St. Port Clinton, OH 43452. Interment will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams Street, Port Clinton, OH.
