Robert S. Wisniewski, 89 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday Feb. 1, 2023 in Aurora, OH. He was born in Cleveland, OH on Feb. 6, 1933, the son of Stephen and Stella (Sosinsky) Wisniewski. HE married Barbara Ebert on October 18, 1958 in Pontiac, MI. Bob graduated from St. Stantislaus High School in Cleveland, OH and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After retirement from Cleveland Gear, he and Barbara retried to Marblehead, OH where he enjoyed fishing, gardening and was involved with the restoration of the Ford Tri-Motor Aircraft. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish, served as a Knight of Columbus, 4th Degree, eucharistic minister, choir member and assisted with the Danbury Food Pantry.
Surviving are his wife: Barbara of nearly 65 years, son: Geoffrey (Sheila) Wisniewski of Columbus, OH; daughter: Roberta (Rodney) Kozar of Auburn Township, OH; grandchildren: Kyle and Erica Wisniewski of Columbus and Jessica Wisniewski of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his son: Bryan in 2020; his father: Stephen; mother and step-father: Stella and Edward Oleksiak; siblings: Rita Lange, Richard Wisniewski and Regina Gacka.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 pm Monday, February 6, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH 43440 with visitation at the church from 9:15 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Danbury Food Pantry.
