Robert Lee Pollard, Sr.

Robert Lee Pollard Sr., 80, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on June 7, 1932 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Frank Elza and Corneila (Tittle) Pollard. He married Luella Allison on October 12, 1955 and she survives. Robert worked as a paper hanger and forklift operator for Celetex, Port Clinton until his retirement in 1998. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during the Korean War. His hobbies included camping and working on cars. Survivors include his wife: Luella; daughter: Karen S. (Mike Gemmer) Windnagel, Zanesfield, Ohio; son: Robert (Cindy) Pollard Jr., Port Clinton; daughter: Deborah Moser, Port Clinton; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter: Shelly Ann Pollard; and one brother. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 10am until Funeral Services at 11 am at the Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church, 143 Maple Street, Port Clinton with Pastor Deron E. Fourman officiating. Burial will follow at LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, Ohio Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
