Robert L. Christiansen, Sr. 71, of Marblehead, OH died Friday, July 1, 2016 surrounded by his family at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born August 9, 1944 in Port Clinton, the son of Elmer and Beatrice (Nason) Christiansen. He married Janice "Missy" McNeil on September 4, 1982 and she survives. Bob had a passion for scrapping and enjoyed spending time with the family and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife: Missy; children: Barbara (Erwin) Behrend of Parma, OH, Dawn (Jerry) Mortus of Chapin, SC, Robert L. (Brittany) Christiansen, Jr. of Catawba Island, David Christiansen of Marblehead, James Christiansen of Marblehead, John Christiansen of Catawba Island, Jamie Christiansen of Bellevue; twenty grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers: Eugene Christiansen of Massachusetts, Michael (Christina) Christiansen of Port Clinton; sisters: Kathy Rhoda of Marblehead, Sandra (Charles) Mullens of Port Clinton, Mary Kennedy of Marblehead, Anne (Dean) Rader of Tiro, OH and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law: Joyce Christiansen and brother-in-law: Al Kennedy. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. LakesideMarblehead, OH where visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Sackett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
