Robert L. "Bob" Wood, Jr.

Robert L. "Bob" Wood, Jr., 55, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015. He was born on December 27, 1959 in Port Clinton, the son of Robert L. Sr. and Betty (Sarty) Wood. He was a 1978 graduate of Port Clinton High School where he was a stellar athlete, and then attended Morehead State University in Kentucky. Bob owned and operated Superior Drywall in Port Clinton. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. Bob enjoyed nature and all outdoor activities, especially fishing, hiking, and dirt bike riding. Bob also loved music and playing guitar. Bob was a very kind, caring, and compassionate person, always putting others needs before his own, and would do anything for anybody. Family was very important to him, especially his daughters. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his daughters: Cynthia "Cindy" (Randall) Mollison, Oak Harbor, Ohio and Kristen Leigh Wood, Port Clinton; granddaughters: Elise Marie and Amelia Elizabeth Mollison; his parents: Robert and Betty; sister: Dawnna (Darrell) Whiting, Port Clinton; nephews: Justin R. Whiting and Evan D. Whiting; and great niece: Charlee Marie Whiting. Per Bob's request, cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio.
