Robert L. Beach

Robert Louis Beach, 77, of Lacarne, OH died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born August 12, 1932 in Huron, OH to the late Irvin W. Beach and Helen (Sarnes) Sinkus-Meehan. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, enlisting shortly following the Korean War. On November 2, 1957 he married the former Peggy Rahm and she survives. Robert was a Roller-Operator for Formetal Inc., Oak Harbor from which he retired serving over thirty years. He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. Survivors include his wife of 51 years Peggy of Lacarne, son Jeffrey (Bonnie Adams) Beach of Canal Winchester, OH; daughters: Becky (Dennis) Fredrick of Rocky Ridge, Pamela Martinez and Barbara (Terry Vollmer) Beach both of Port Clinton, OH; grandchildren: Amanda and Joshua Fredrick, Justin Beach, Laura Vollmer, Adam and Kaitlin Beach, 5 great-grandchildren; extended family: Brenda (Robert) Mahon, Rhonda (Robert) McClanahan, Cindy Baker, Tiffani and Alyssa McClanahan. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Corey Beach. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8:30pm with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8:30pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in LaCarpe Cemetery, Erie Township with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 114 and V.F.W. Post 8732 both of Oak Harbor.
