Robert Joseph Thomas

Robert J. Thomas, 73 of Elmore, OH passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 with his loving wife next to him at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born June 2, 1947 in Leipsic, OH a son of the late Cloice & Mary (Goedde) Thomas. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a retired Owner/Operator Truck Driver. An active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Elmore, Bob was a deacon of the church for many years. He enjoyed working on his Oliver tractors, and was a member of the Elmore Historical Society. On June 29, 1996 he married the former Renee L. Lutman, and she survives. Also surviving are his children: Joe (Rhonda Gipson) Thomas of Forest, OH, Scott (Cori) Thomas of Findlay, OH, Sue Ann Tolles of Hamler, OH and Amy Lutman of Oak Harbor, OH; 11 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren; and brother Ray (Paula) Thomas of Cloverdale, OH. He was also preceded in death by infant siblings: William, Ronald, Sandra, and Nancy Thomas. A Memorial Service will begin at 1pm on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Elmore. Interment will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore.
