Robert James Harger, 48, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born on January 3, 1967 in Warren, Ohio the son of Ronald and Barbara (Knight) Harger. He graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1985, then went to General Motors Institute in Flint Michigan where he received his Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, and then received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan. For the past 10 years, Rob was the President of the NN Metal Stamping Company in Pioneer, Ohio and also at Pennent in Sibina, Ohio. He was a member of the Historic Church of St. Patrick in Toledo; member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at GMI; member of the Bryan Moose; member of the Orchard Hills Golf Club in Bryan where he was an avid golfer. He and his son, Nathan-the light of his life, enjoyed many trips around the United States and in Europe. Rob was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Toledo Mud Hens and the Toledo Walleye. Survivors include his son: Nathaniel Andrew Harger; mother: Barb; brothers; Scott, Dan and Jeff; sister: Julie (Terry) Ploeger; nephews: John (Kelly) Biggert, Rick (Kristen) Harger; niece: Morgan (Danny) Martinez; a great nephew; great nieces; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: Ron; his nephew: Eric Cole Biggert, and his grandparents. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 2-6pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. On Saturday, January 2, 2016 prayers will begin at the funeral home at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton with Father Phil Feltman officiating. Burial will follow at Sackett Cemetery in Danbury Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the American Heart Association.
