Robert J. Mack

Robert J. Mack, 88, of Marblehead, Ohio died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on March 28, 1921 in Ney, Ohio, Defiance County, the son of the late Christa and Clara (Weber) Mack. On May 3, 1947 he married Agnes (Sprow) Pendleton and she survives. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served his country during World War II. He worked as a manager at Firestone, and then as a salesman at Goodyear, both in Sandusky until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, and a member of the Sandusky AMVETS Post 17. His hobby included vegetable gardening. Survivors include his wife: Agnes; step son: Ronald (Sherry) Pendleton, Marblehead; five step grandchildren; sister: Helen (Don) Krummel, Defiance, Ohio and brother: Jonas (Margaret) Mack, Defiance, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Wilber Mack. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead on Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 1-3 and 5-7 PM where funeral services will begin at 7 PM with Reverend Daniel J. Ring, officiating. Graveside services and burial will take place at Ney Cemetery, Ney, Ohio on Friday, June 12, at 1 PM with Reverend John Weber, officiating.
