Robert J. Cunningham

Robert J. Cunningham, 56 of Oak Harbor, OH died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH. He was born June 15, 1957 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Ransom Cunningham and Anna (Brown). He was a 1975 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. On April 11, 1981 he married the former Janice Sorg and she survives. Bob had worked at Whirlpool in Clyde, OH, was a marine mechanic, owned and operated his own small engine repair company, Ottawa County Juvenile Probation Department, and most recently in Loss/Prevention for the Elder-Beerman Store at the former Woodville Mall. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, hunting, and golfing. Survivors include his wife Janice of Oak Harbor, half-sisters: Frannie (Randall) Krieger and Margaret (Ken) Apling both of Oak Harbor, JoAnne Lohr of Woodville, OH; sister Karen (Cunningham) of Fremont, OH; brother Corky Cunningham of Fremont; and half-brother Dave Cunningham of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brothers: William Chio, Danny, Dick, Keith, and Gary Cunningham and nephew Tom Apling. A Memorial Service will begin at 5pm Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where the family will receive friends beginning at 3pm until the time of service.
