Robert H. Ameigh

Robert H. Ameigh, 89, of Marblehead, Ohio, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Valleyview Healthcare Center, Fremont, Ohio. He was born on January 2, 1919 in Jeromesville, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Clara (Zahner) Ameigh. On February 1, 1940 he married Dorothy J. Talmadge, and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2007. Robert was self employed at his family owned plumbing and heating business, Ameigh's Installation Service. He loved to read "How To" books, and as a result, he built three of the family homes, as well as a family boat and tractor. He was instrumental in developing Port Pleasant subdivision in Marblehead and also Holiday Acres Trailer Park and Marina, in Marblehead, which his son still operates. Survivors include his sons: Larry Ameigh, of Marblehead and Ron (Luz) Ameigh, of Johnson's Island; granddaughter: Asia Ameigh and grandson: Brian Ameigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers: John and Roger Ameigh. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. Reverend Jerry Phelps will officiate. Burial will follow at Sackett Cemetery.
