Robert E. Dewey

Robert E. Dewey, 79, of Marblehead, Ohio died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on March 7. 1933 in Findlay, Ohio. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served his country from 1952 until 1956. On February 23, 1957 he married Jean Kukay and she survives. Robert worked as a salesman for Gross Medina Oil in Medina, Ohio until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead; VFW Post 7572 in Marblehead as well as the American Legion. His hobbies included fishing, boating, and playing Dartball at the VFW. Survivors include his wife: Jean; daughter: Debra Dewey, Medina, Ohio; son: Duane Dewey, Keller, Texas; grandchildren: Henna McCall, Medina, Ohio and Brandon Dewey, Keller, Texas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 5-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead from 9:00am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am with Father Daniel J. Ring officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors being given by members of VFW Post 7572, Marblehead.
