Robert D. "Dave" Wilburn

Robert D. "Dave" Wilburn, 77 of Oak Harbor, OH died Thursday morning December 1, 2016 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born May 18, 1939 I Rushtown, OH to the late Walter and Ruth (Yeley) Wilburn. On June 1, 1958 he married Rehva Wistinghausen and she survives. He served in the United States Army National Guard of Ohio from 1959 1965. Dave worked at U.S. Gypsum and Ares Industrial both in Port Clinton, but retired from Witt and Gaines Electric Company as a Service Tech. He also was self-employed doing jobs around town for various people. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor where he enjoyed his time playing on the Dartball Team. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren and watching the Buckeyes and Browns. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Rehva of Oak Harbor, children: Joanna (Rick) Twarek of Oak Harbor and Mark (Deborah) Wilburn of Oak Harbor; daughter- in- law Gwen Wilburn of Sandusky, OH; grandchildren: Christopher Lochotzki, Robert & Michael Wilburn; great- grandchildren: Derek & Taylee Lochotzki, and Kaylen Wilburn; sisters: Laura "Irene" Ray, Mabel Royster, Eunice (Robert) Edwards, and Ruby (Norm) Stierhoff; brothers Orris (Annette) Wilburn and Richard (Carol) Wilburn. He was preceded in death by his sons Aaron and 2 infants, brothers Walter and Charles Wilburn. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor with the Rev. Cheryl Wessel officiating. Burial will be in Salem Twp. Union Cemetery.
