Robert D. Below

Robert D. Below, 65, of Port Clinton Ohio, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 18, 1947 in Port Clinton Ohio, the son of Robert E. and Patricia (Robel) Below. H e was a veteran of the United States Army. On September 24, 1966, he married Helen Booher and she survives. Robert worked as a self employed truck driver until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton and also a member of the Port Clinton Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1610. His hobbies included playing cards, golfing, doing yardwork, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife: Helen; daughters: Heidi (Hugh) Wheeler, Port Clinton and Kristen (Mike) Brinkman, Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren: Logan and Lauren Wheeler, Colten, Conrad, and Carson Brinkman; and mother-in-law: Mary Booher. Per Robert's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
