Robert C. Yurista

Robert Charles “Rob” Yurista, 18, of Oak Harbor died Sunday, May 7, 2006 in Carroll Township. He was born October 14, 1987 in Fremont, OH, the son of Robert John Yurista and Gina Marie Rife. Rob was a senior at Oak Harbor High School and loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Survivors include his mother Gina (Robert) Scherger of Oak Harbor; brother, Shawn Yurista, half brothers, Alex and Cameron O’Lalde; and step-sister, Melissa Scherger, all of Oak Harbor; paternal grandparents, Richard & Bobette Yurista of Port Clinton, paternal great-grandmother, Georgetta Voight of Sandusky, maternal grandmother, Sharon (John) House of Oak Harbor, maternal grandfather, David (Jenny) Rife of Graytown, and Godparent Michael Yurista. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J.Yurista, Aunt, Staci Rife, and Uncle, Richard Yurista. Friends may call from 2-9 PM Thursday at the Crosser Funeral Home; Oak Harbor where the family will be present from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 12, 2006 at the Oak Harbor Alliance Chapel with the Rev. Clint Hayslett officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
