Robert A. Wehner

Robert A. Wehner, 83, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Sunday at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. He was born in Ottawa County on September 10, 1924, a son of Charles & Burnetta (Velliquette) Wehner. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in Europe and North Africa. He was a retired plasterer for Wehner Brothers, and was also a retired custodian for Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools. On May 11, 1957, he married the former Mary Lou Rauch, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Kelly (James) Phillips, Sally (David) Everett, and Dave Wehner, all of Oak Harbor; brothers, Donald (Pat) Wehner, Florida, Ronald (Judy) Wehner, Toledo, OH, Gerald (Joyce) Wehner, Oak Harbor, and Roger Wehner, Oak Harbor; sister, Berneda Foreman, Napoleon, OH; grandchildren, Kenen Everett, Samantha Phillips, Jake Phillips, Joe Phillips, and Jon Wehner. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles Wehner and Ray Wehner; and a sister, Ida Onweller. A Celebration of Life Gathering for friends and family will be held from noon to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the home of Kelly & Jim Phillips, 8539 C.R. 17, Oak Harbor.
