Robert A. Herrig, Sr.

Robert A. Herrig, Sr., 66, of Elmore, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. He was born in Fostoria, Ohio, on June 10, 1955, a son of the late George & Dorothy (Sams) Herrig. Bob was raised in Bradner, Ohio, and attended Lakota Schools. A U.S. Army veteran, Bob served his country for 7 years, and was a member of the 101st Airborne Division when he was discharged from active duty. He was a member of American Legion Post #279 of Elmore. A service representative for the Nordson Corporation of Amherst, Ohio, Bob retired in 2017. He greatly enjoyed fishing and boating with his family on Lake Erie, collecting guns, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife, Debi L. (Neeb) Herrig; sons, B.J. Herrig, Elmore, Chad (Jen Schultze) Herrig, Woodville, Ohio, and Ryan (Kelly) Herrig, Walbridge, Ohio; sister, Vicki (Jack) Bowe, Risingsun, Ohio; grandchildren, Trent, Kylie, Gavin, Connor, Owen, & Steven Herrig, and his faithful companion, Kenzi. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Herrig. Private family services will be held.
