Richard W. Tucker

Richard W. Tucker, 70, of Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 10, 1945 in Fremont, Ohio, the son of the late Richard O. and Elaine (Leow) Tucker. He married Claudene (Thusat) on May 7, 1983 and she survives. "Mr. Rick" as the kids will call him, was currently working in the maintenance department at Danbury Local School for the past 13 years. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard, and also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont, Ohio. He was skilled in woodworking, especially with shipbuilding. His greatest passion was spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Claudene; children, Kirk (Heather) Tucker, Fort Wayne, Indiana; David Thusat, Snohomish, Washington; Kelly Tucker, New Haven, Indiana; Mary Thusat (Gary) Day, Moulton, Texas; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Gabrielle), Caleb (Angela), Zachary (Nikoleta), Nina, Taylor, Makena, Colton; and a great-grandson, Luka. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio, on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 10 am until a memorial service at 12pm with Pastor Brad Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to his family.
