Richard W. Allen, 80, of Port Clinton died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. He was born May 3, 1932 in Clyde, OH the son of the late Dale B. and Helen (Stoner) Allen. He married Joyce Johannsen on August 7, 1954 and she survives. He retired from Celotex where he was a superintendent. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife: Joyce; daughter: Kymberly (Terry) Rudes of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Julie (Andrew) Kimball, George (Genene) Rudes, Kathryn (Tim) Knoll, Richard Rudes, David Rudes; four great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim (JoAnn) Allen of Delaware, Tom Allen of Port Clinton, Bob (Judy) Allen of Port Clinton; sisters: LaDonna Smart of Clyde, Virginia Park of Port Clinton, Carol (Mike) Crone of Port Clinton, Margaret (Ken) Anderson of Huron. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Don Allen. Private funeral services will be held at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton.
