Richard G. Cook, Sr., 65, of Port Clinton, OH, died Monday, December 11, 2006 at his residence. He was born June 17, 1941 in Wilder, VA, a son of the late Jasper & Nannie Belle (Osborne) Cook. He worked for Uniroyal in Port Clinton, and was a United States Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a life member of the D.A.V., Life member of V.F.W. Post 2480, Port Clinton, American Legion Post 113, Port Clinton; and the Eagles Aerie No. 2295, Port Clinton. He enjoyed playing his guitar and making martin houses. On March 15, 1969, he married the former Dolores Mowel, and she survives. Also surviving are sons, Richard G. (Jennifer) Cook, Jr. of Port Clinton, Travis L. (Darlene) Cook of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Coty, Joshua, Alexis, Chloe, and Quinton; brothers, Walter, Howard and Herman Cook, all of Port Clinton; many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Prince. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John, Ed, James, Oscar, Curtis and Frank Cook, and his sister, Antha Taylor. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
