Richard Edward Snyder

Richard Edward Snyder, 69, of Port Clinton, died Sunday March 30, 2008 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He was born December 28, 1938 in Sandusky, the son of Edward L. and Delores M. "Dee" (Snider) Snyder. Richard was a print operator at Uniroyal for over 30 years. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge and Moose Lodge of Port Clinton. He coached his daughters' softball team and was an avid bowler. Surviving are his wife Joan (Gleason) whom he married on Sept 8, 1999; daughters Sue (George) Simko of Curtice, Cindy (Randy) Iske of Hilliard, Connie (Edward) Thieret of Port Clinton, Julie (James) Frattaroli of Lakeside-Marblehead, Tina (Shane) Bowman of Lambertville, MI and Elizabeth (Chad) Clum of Sylvania; step daughters April (Michael) Kazmaier of Perrysburg, and Melissa (Robert) Trent of Havelock, NC; twelve grandchildren and five step grandchildren ; sister Darlene Eddington of Port Clinton; step mother Lois (Valinotti) Snyder of Copley. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter Janice Lynn Snyder. Visitation and services will be private. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
