Richard D. Phillips

Richard D. Phillips, 66, of Marblehead, OH and formerly of Lakewood, OH died Feb. 14, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 3, 1943 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Trevor and Emily (Bogus) Phillips. He married Kathleen Knapp in 1967. Mr. Phillips was the director of Engineering for Sherwin Williams for 30 years retiring in 1994. HE was an avid walleye fisherman and a supporter of "Back to the Wild". Surviving are his sons: David (Ann) Phillips of Bay Village, Stephen Phillips of Westlake; daughter: Jill (Paul) Syftestad of Chicago; grandchildren: Luke Phillips, Anna Phillips, Olivia Syftestad, Kate Syftestad; sisters: Roberta (Dick) Munizzo of Chicago and Dyllis Bertrand of Chicago. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. LakesideMarblehead, OH where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 am with Fr. Dan Ring Officiating. Burial will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township.
