Raymond K. Burrey

Raymond K. Burrey, 38, of Ottawa, Ohio, and formerly of Williston, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, Ohio. Ray was born in Toledo on November 30, 1969, a son of Kenneth & Marlene (Freeman) Burrey. He was a 1988 graduate of Genoa Area Schools, where he was a member of the track team in Junior High and High School. He also attended the University of Toledo. Ray was a crane operator for Heidtman Steel in Toledo. An accomplished artist, Ray also enjoyed playing the piano and other musical instruments. He also was a self-taught mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with engines. Ray is survived by his mother, Marlene Burrey, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and his brother, Eric (Erin) Burrey, Woodville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Burrey on April 23, 1989. There will be no services. Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, is handling arrangements for Ray's family.
