Raymond E. "Jack" Warnke, 75, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Tuesday evening at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born in Erie Township, Ottawa County on August 26, 1934, a son of Otto & Lena (Harding) Warnke. Jack was a farm worker for many years on several area farms and fruit farms in Danbury Township. He also was a handyman, doing odd jobs in recent years. Jack is survived by his sister, Viola Smithberger, Oak Harbor; brother, Otto Warnke, Fremont, Ohio, and his good friend, Jerry Fick, Port Clinton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Minnie Sokolowski and Lois Burke; and a brother, Arthur Warnke. The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Friday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday. Sister Gemma Fenbert, OSF/T will officiate, and interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church or St. Boniface School.
