Phyllis Ada Dress

Phyllis Ada Dress, 86, of Marblehead, OH died March 15, 2014 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Village. She was born November 14, 1927 in Fall River, MA the daughter of Frank Arthur and Ada Iona (Van Atta) Le Page. She married Edward Charles Dress on August 9, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2009. Mrs. Dress was a member of St John Lutheran Church, Marblehead, Ohio. She was the church organist for 52 years and a life long member of WELCA. She was a volunteer at the Danbury Food Pantry and The Red Cross Bloodmobile. She was active in the Danbury Senior Center, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. The family wishes to thank all of the caring staff of Otterbein North Shore for the loving care of their mother. Surviving are her sons, Charles (Retha) Dress of Port Clinton, John Paul (Dawn) Dress of Danbury Township, Ted (Janine) Dress of Danbury Township, Phillip (Erin) Dress of Toledo, OH; daughters, Susan Dress of Danbury Township, Diana (Frank) Van Deusen of Port Clinton, OH; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother: Peter V. (Katie) Le Page of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Rachel DeVries of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; sister, Emma Jane Firestone; and brother John Paul Le Page. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St John Lutheran Church, Marblehead, OH where the body will lie in state from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St John Lutheran Church, Marblehead, OH or Otterbein North Shore Retirement Village.
