Phillip A. Rose, 61, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on February 25, 1953, the son of Franklin P. & Betty J. (Chio) Rose. Phillip was a 1971 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, and was a 37 year employee of the former Kelsey-Hayes Company, Kingsway Plant. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and trapping. On September 30, 1972, he married the former Shirley Nowlin and she survives. Also surviving are his son, James F. (Becky) Rose, Omaha, Nebraska; daughter, Brandance A. (Todd) Francis, Covina, California; grandchildren, Ashley Rose and Calob Rose; and sisters, Sharon (John) Liske, Oak Harbor, Heather (James) Powell, Fremont, Ohio, and Karen (Fred) Wagner, Oak Harbor. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Shirley J. (Chio) Rose. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor.
