Peter M. "Pete" Weimer

October 6, 1940 — June 17, 2020

PETER "PETE" M. WEIMER Peter "Pete" M. Weimer of Chagrin Falls and Catawba Island, Ohio passed away on June 17, 2020 at his home surrounded by his devoted wife, Lezlie and his daughters, Marjorie and Heidi, after a long fight with cancer. At no time during his battle did he ever give up or feel sorry for himself. Typical of Pete! He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, boundless energy, and zest for life. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater and throughout his life, an extraordinary chef. He was truly a man for all seasons. His generous entertaining and cooking for his friends brought him particular joy. Those of us who were fortunate to know him well will remember him for his honesty, loyalty and strength of character. A true friend to those in need and to those that could keep up with him (and there were not many). His memory will be cherished by his adoring wife, Lezlie, to whom his love and devotion were singular and envied by all who knew them. So too, will his life be celebrated, his legacy be remembered and passed on to his grandchildren by his daughters Marjorie W. Arnold (Michael) of Denver, Co and their twins, Kennedy and Hudson, as well as Heidi W. Hippeli of Broomfield, Co and her children, Benjamin A. Anderson and twins, Otto and India Hippeli. Pete is also survived by his big brother Benjamin A. Weimer, Jr. (Cay) of Irvington, Va. Pete was a graduate of University School, Hunting Valley, Ohio and Washington and Lee University as well as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He had an insatiable appetite for hard work and hard play. His business energy was devoted to the real estate industry, evolving from a real estate broker, to a builder and land developer in the Chagrin Falls and Catawba Island markets. His great success and the way he achieved it, was admired by all. Funeral services will be private and the family suggests donations, in Petes memory, to Bistro 163 (https://www.bistro163.org.) or The Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary (https://www.islandshas.com). Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Port Clinton Chapel is handling the arrangements. Funeral Home: Neidecker-LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home - Port Clinton Chapel 1124 Fulton Street Port Clinton, OH US 43452
