Penn Kemp

Pennington D. Kemp, 89, of Marblehead, OH died Dec. 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born Feb. 7, 1923 in Marblehead, OH the son of Marion G. and Pearl (Savage) Kemp. He married Marjorie Miller on March 27, 1947 and she preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2006. Penn worked for General Motors in Sandusky retiring in 1982. He was a United States Coast Guard veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Marblehead; V.F.W. Post 7572 and the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are his sons: Joseph T. of Marblehead, Kerry D. (Patricia) of St. Petersburg, FL, Kal W. (Robin) of Paradise, MI; daughters: Nancy L. (Thomas) Shepler of Pensacola, FL, Becky L. (William T.) Austin of Rockvale, TN, Jane E. Kemp of Marblehead, OH; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Marjorie; grandson: Jason Austin and his brothers and sister. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, December 21, 2012 with Rev. Chris Young officiating at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, LakesideMarblehead, where visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm. V.F.W. services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Sackett with Military Honors.
