Peggy J Wear

Peggy J. Wear, 79, of Port Clinton, OH died July 21, 2013 at Commons of Providence, Sandusky, Ohio. She was born April 27, 1934 in London, OH, the daughter of Robert and Louella (Davis) Adams. She married Terry C. Wear on March 17, 1961 and he died March 19, 2010. Mrs. Wear graduated from Mt Carmel Nursing School in 1955. She was a RN working at Mt Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Community Hospital, Springfield, OH and later at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH. She also worked with her husband in the office of their pool business. Mrs. Wear loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a volunteer for Magruder Hospital for more than ten years and also volunteered at Catawba Island Elementary School. She enjoyed boating with her husband: Terry. Surviving are her daughters: Jan (Greg) Kurtz of Vermillion, Judy(Chris) Walcott of Vermillion; son: Jeff (Michelle) Wear of Stuart, FL; grandchildren: Michael Wear, Joe Wear, Kristin Kurtz, Ann Walcott and Samantha Walcott. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: Jack Adams, sisters: Glenna McGaugh and infant sister: Betty. Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 29, 2013 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside--Marblehead, OH where visitation will be held Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Pastor David Gowen will be officiating. There will be a luncheon following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH or the Alzheimer's Association.
