Paul W. Bishoff

Paul W. Bishoff, 79, of Marblehead, Ohio died Thursday, May 8, 2008 in the intensive care unit at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on May 31, 1928 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Labon and Mary (Daley) Bishoff. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served his country during WWII. Paul worked as a pipefitter for General Motors in Sandusky until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, Lakeside, Ohio; member of VFW Post 7572, Marblehead; member of the American Legion Post 83, Sandusky; member of the Eagles Post 444, Sandusky; member of the local UAW 913, Sandusky; and a member of the Sandusky Masonic Lodge. His hobbies included fishing, bowling, and listening to polka music. Survivors include his wife: Dorothy (King) whom he married on April 22, 1950; sons: Neil Bishoff; Bruce Bishoff; and Keith (Mary Pat) Bishoff, all of Marblehead, Ohio; daughter in-law: Reba Bishoff; grandchildren: Brian Bishoff, Jennifer Bishoff, Shawn (Eugene) Covey, Eric (Kasey) Bishoff, Mindy Bishoff, Hannah Bishoff, Lily Bishoff; and one great granddaughter: Taylor Bishoff. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Clifford Bishoff; sisters: Grace Galloway, Katherine Wright, Eva Rich, and brother: Clifford Paul Bishoff. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead where VFW Post 7572 will conduct military services at 7. Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home with Reverend Jerry Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery with military rites conducted by members of VFW Post 7572. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 7572, Marblehead or to the Lakeside or Marblehead Fire departments.
