Paul Robert Binns

Paul Robert Binns was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on January 27, 1933, to Susan Holly. In 1951 Paul was married to the late Gertrude Irene Whetstone with which they had seven children. In 1979 he married Louise Barton, who survives him. She resides in Texas, where they had lived for the past 30 years. Paul is survived by his sister, Julia Glovinsky, Port Clinton, OH; and his children, Harold Whetstone, Fremont, OH, Judi Ann and Terry Strickland, Susan and Quin Hagerty, Sharon and Lonnie Cook, Cameron and Renee Binns all who live in Jacksonville, FL, and Paul Jr. and Judy Binns of Graytown, OH. Also stepchildren are, Melanie Sandbol, Theresa and James Burton, Lannie and Joe Burton all from Texas. A son, Johnnie "Butch" Whetstone who lived in Clyde, OH, precedes him in death. Paul was a proud grandpa of 31 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. He proudly served for his country in the Korean War for the Army. Paul was a steeple Jack by trade and in Texas he owned a garbage business, and was a Hot Shot Driver in the Houston area. His love however, was for his years as a commercial fisherman. This created a love in Paul for the water that never died. You could find him at the lake or on the river in a moments notice. It didn't take much convincing for him to spend the day fishing with family and friends. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. All will miss him. Cremation burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton September 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. We love you and you will forever be in our hearts.
