Paul J. Stinson, 78, of Port Clinton, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at his residence. He was born July 3, 1929 in Tazwell County, VA the son of the late George B. and Dora (Blankenship) Stinson. He married Betty Overmyer on May 16, 1959 and she survives. Mr. Stinson worked as a door and cabinet maker for Matthews Boat Co and also Gem Beach Marina and Lakeside Marina before retiring in 1986. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton and a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and restoring old furniture. Surviving are his wife: Betty; sons: Charles (Deborah), Mark and Brian all of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Kyle Stinson and Leslie Crockford; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers: James Stinson, William Earl Stinson; sisters: Blanche Mills, Mae Park, Ruth Helbert and Bessie Fawbush. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Bachelor-Glader at 11:00 Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where the family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church or Stein Hospice.
