Patricia Margaret Freimark

Patricia Margaret (Hofacker) Freimark, of Catawba Island, OH died on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at her home after a long fight with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Born in Port Clinton, Ohio, February 19, 1941 to Gilbert and Lorine (Sonnichsen) Hofacker, Pat was a well liked and respected member of the Port Clinton Community. On July 11, 1964, she married William J. Freimark at Peace Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, Ohio. Pat was a member of the Port Clinton City School System where she worked for 30 years. For twenty of those 30 years, Pat drove school bus where she influenced and touched the lives of many children within the community. She finished her career as the Librarian at Bataan Elementary School before retiring in 2003. Among her interests included the many crafts that she enjoyed especially weaving baskets. She also enjoyed bowling. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church. Pat was also a member of the Catawba Island Club for over 25 years. She was a former member of the Altrusa Women's Club of Sandusky. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill, son Eric (Kathleen) Freimark of Catawba Island, daughter Kristina (Dr. John) Crisologo of Beaufort, S.C. and her grandchildren Kelly Freimark of Catawba Island, Maxwell, Margaret and Olivia Crisologo of Beaufort, S.C. She also leaves behind four brothers, Gilbert Lowell (Elaine) Hofacker of Sonora, CA, Eugene (Jessie) Hofacker of Vernon, AZ, Richard (Edna) Hofacker of Virginia Beach, VA, Ronald (Marlene) Hofacker of Clyde, OH and three sisters, Louise (Jim Faulkert) Worthington of Port Clinton, Rosalie (Don) Hipp of Huron, OH, Joanne (Bob) Fleming of Port Clinton. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Lorine Hofacker. Visitation will be held at Neidecker-LeVeck and Crosser funeral home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton on Tuesday March 30, 2010 from 10 am to 12pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 4 pm. The Rev. Michael Wiechers will officiate. Burial will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery.
