Patricia Ann Albertson

Patricia Ann Albertson, "Wezie", 36, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at University Hospital in Cleveland, after struggling with leukemia for the past two years. She was born on February 19, 1975 in Fremont, Ohio, the daughter of Alberto and Susan Melchor. She had worked as a medical assistant at Advanced Neurological Associates in Bellevue, Ohio until her illness. Prior to that, she worked at Executive Urology in Sandusky, Ohio. Patty was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton. She was an avid Michigan fan, Tony Stewart and NASCAR fan, and a "Browns Backer" member. She was also a "sports mom", always attending her daughter's softball games, and watching her cheerleading. She loved being around kids as she was often seen at her niece's soccer games or her nephew's wrestling matches. Her family said she was a social butterfly who lived life to it's fullest. Survivors include her husband: Bryan, whom she married on November 6, 2004; daughter: Alexis Morgan Zilles, at home; step daughter: Ashley Albertson, Port Clinton; step son: Ryan Albertson, Marblehead; soon to be grandson due at the end of May: Keegan Patrick Howell; father: Alberto (Kathy) Melchor, mother: Susan (Steve) Ashton; sister: Monica (Brian) Jensen, Port Clinton; brother: Frank Melchor (Sarah Gonzalez), Fremont; nieces and nephews: Aaron Wamsley, Audrianna and Hondo Melchor, Star Mackey, Chelsea Jensen, Dylan and Devin Jensen. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Alberto and Jesusa Melchor; maternal grandparents: Francisco and Leonor Mendoza; and many aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Prayers will begin at the funeral home at 11am on Thursday, March 24, 2011, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Reverend John C. Missler, officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be left for the family.
